Describe yourself in 5 words or less

Adaptable, compassionate, friendly, chatty.

How do you spend your time outside of work?

Bike riding, powerlifting, and volunteering at various animal sanctuaries.

What did you do pre-Cicero, and what brought you to the firm?

I worked in public education as an elementary school teacher in grades 1 and 3. I was intrigued by the work Education Direction does in schools throughout the valley and wanted to be part of the school transformation process and increase my capacity to invoke positive change in our education system.

What are some interesting things you’ve been working on lately?

I’ve been creating a literacy block that our schools can use to structure their literacy instruction in a way that ensures students are having adequate instruction and practice in key areas such as vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and writing.

What else makes Cicero a great place to work?

My colleagues! I love coming to work each day knowing that I will leave having learned something new. The experience and expertise that each member of the Cicero team brings to the table is invaluable.

For fun, any book/movie/music recommendations?

One of my favorite books I’ve read (more than once) is Blood Meridian, by Cormac McCarthy. Albeit violent, I found myself riveted by the imagery the author is able to relay through his writing and unique style.
