Note: Over the next months I’ll be posting interviews with a number of key members of the Cicero team here and on my LinkedIn account. Stay tuned!
Describe yourself in 5 words or less
Keen – Caring – Creative – Loyal
How do you spend your time outside of work?
I love to spend time with my husband. We like to keep things simple – frequently going on walks with our two dogs, game nights with friends, trying out new hikes, going to the movies, and visiting family and friends in California and Idaho as frequently as possible. I also have a great love for baking and try to practice whenever possible!
What did you do pre-Cicero, and what brought you to the firm?
Pre-Cicero I was a Studio Art student at BYU-Idaho, living and working in Palm Springs, California. My husband and I moved to Salt Lake after a job offer he had received. Before we left, I began searching for jobs and had an interview with Cicero Group that really stood out to me as a company I’d like to work for. I had a strong desire to be around people who are passionate about their work, co-workers, and families. Before my first day, it was clear that those things were all important in Cicero culture – and so I was grateful to accept a position with a wonderful team.
What are some interesting things you’ve been working on as Office Manager?
As Office Manager, I handle very diverse projects. A few of the most interesting projects I’ve managed during this time include: booking travel arrangements, coordinating various office events with the Fun Committee, planning and executing a crepe breakfast for Cicero’s anniversary, working with a fantastic team to move our offices. Although I have quite a way to go… I have learned much about technology and the steps involved in making our office work.
What else makes Cicero a great place to work?
Work culture has made all of the difference to me! My position differs greatly from the majority of the office, but I’ve never been made to feel different or lesser for it. It’s imperative to have a team of people who are positive and supportive of each other to benefit the greater good, and I think that’s a clear strength within this company.
For fun, any book/movie/music recommendations?
About Time is fantastic film I recently fell in love with. It’s witty, endearing, and refreshing. I highly recommend taking the time to look it up.
