Ed Thrive Product Manager

Cicero Group is using its expertise in education consulting to incubate a new education technology software for K-12 schools. The product manager will lead a dynamic team for an innovative product set to launch this spring.


  • Work with a development team and senior leadership to build, refine, and improve a new education software tool
  • Manage timelines and deliverables between multiple parties to ensure timely and seamless completion of tasks
  • Instruct and direct the software development team on objectives and project scope. Oversee the implementation of functional, technical, and integration requirements
  • Create strong relationships with new and existing customers; Use customer feedback to continually improve the tool
  • Conduct focus groups, create surveys, and use other research methods to gather data on how to improve the product
  • Manage communication between designers, engineers, and internal teams to ensure consistency across the brand
  • Work closely with high-performing sales representatives
  • Plan and manage product development cycles
  • Ensure continued growth and development of the product
  • Some occasional travel may be required


  • Three to five years of experience in the Education Technology sector, preferably product launch experience
  • Experience in product management, consulting, startups, or similar environments
  • Experience managing or working closely with a software development team
  • A bachelor’s degree and strong academic record
  • Ability to develop and manage strong collaborative working relationships with development team, sales representatives, clients, internal stakeholders and other parties
  • Proven ability to adapt to, and manage a constantly evolving environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to coach and direct highly intelligent teams
  • Exceptional ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, both verbally and in writing
  • Exceptional organization skills, ambition, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to think independently and strategically, and to meaningfully collaborate with teams

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Start-up or beta-testing experience with new technology products, preferably in the education field
  • Successful marketing and sales experience
  • Experience in project management or leading teams
  • Established market research skills, including focus group testing, surveys, and data analysis
