Note: Over the next months I’ll be posting interviews with a number of key members of the Cicero team. Stay tuned!
Determined, passionate, trustworthy, easy going, and adventurous
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Most of my time outside of work is spent with my wife or highly energetic Goldendoodle puppy. You can often find us on the golf course, tennis court, or searching all over SLC for the best restaurant in town. I also enjoy cooking, finding ways to serve in the community, or the occasional Netflix binge watch.
What did you do pre-Cicero, and what brought you to the firm?
Prior to joining Cicero, I completed my Bachelors degree in Finance from Brigham Young University, and I interned with Apple in Cupertino as a financial analyst for a summer. I also gained experience in private equity and other financial roles throughout college but realized my true passion was solving problems, which lead me to choose consulting.
What are some interesting things you’ve been working on lately?
Over the last 8 months I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of two of the firm’s largest strategy engagements. I have been able to consult for a fortune 5oo manufacturing company as well as a $3B distribution company in the pharmaceuticals industry. Throughout these projects I’ve consulted for a major strategic turnaround, conducted preliminary steps towards an acquisition, and evaluated companywide efficiencies and supply chain processes.
What else makes Cicero a great place to work?
Cicero has such a unique work environment and culture within the firm. Top level management and project leads actually listen to your feedback and care about your happiness and work life balance at work. I consider myself very fortunate to be employed by a company where I truly enjoy coming in each day.
For fun, any book/movie/music recommendations?
While I don’t think I’ll be able to score tickets to Hamilton on Broadway, I’m in love with the soundtrack and hope to see it when it comes to SLC next year.
